Are you watching the final five? |

I'm just curious. I'm not. I never thought I wouldn't watch VM as long as Jason was on it, but this is just too much, too many hits and it's not as if Jason will likely have much more than 15-20 minutes left in the entire series. It's just not worth it. If I let go now, I can work in distancing myself and if I don't watch them, it can end where I want it to without any mental visions clouding the way. For me, the show ended right as Veronica walked into the lingerie store before she saw Madison.

I'm shocked at myself. I was sure I would watch ANYTHING they did on this show if JD was in it. Apparently I was wrong. I do NOT want to see Logan shafted in the end and have that be my enduring image of him. And anything that leads up to it will be ruined by knowing that he's doomed to watch Veronica and Piz frolic off into the sunset together, hand in hand.
*gag* I'm with you. This show ended in episode 11. I don't mind that last scene, because Veronica could have had a very different (ie: healthier, saner) reaction to the reveal. Hey, I can even handle through #15 -- Veronica was clearly unhappy at the idea of Logan with Parker, it's easy to imagine L/V sorting things out after that. But ending the series with V/Piz? Logan being in the wrong about his beatdown in 19? Nope, nope, nope. |

I went further back than that. The show ended for me when Logan found his self respect and gave Veronica the nicest, most mature flick off I've ever seen on a TV show. Unlike Veronica he didn't blame her for their split, he didn't make her feel like pond scum, he said it wasn't working because he obviously wasn't good enough and he couldn't take it any more. It was mature and heartfelt and even the shippers felt that was such a great decision and the best thing. It gave his character a strength he'd never had before, that made his sad stuggle before that worth it. Becuase he did eventually find the strength to let someone he loved go because he had learned to love himself.
Everything after that tore threw me like a chainsaw, I felt like screaming when Logan took Veronica back because I knew what was coming. It seemed to make moot the beautiful, mature strength he'd gained in "Spit and Eggs". If that had been the end of LV, I would have been satisfied because it did feel like a resolution, it's everything that came after that which feels pointless. A big fat pile of pointless with 'Fuck You LV Shippers' written across it. Everything in episode ten and eleven is tainted. My favourite ending to the show is definitely "Spit and Eggs" because it's a more satisfying conclusion to Logan's arc than we are going to get. It was about growth and doing something for one's self, not about sliding back into a dysfunctional funk because you're always going to love someone that doesn't give a fuck about you. And damn. This show is making me swear a lot. Sorry. |

I must be an eternal optimist because I'm going to watch the final five. But I have Tivo and for the past few episodes, I've delayed watching until I could read comments from viewers on LoVe Shack so I'd know it was okay to proceed. :) I'll probably do the same for the last five.
But I'm a loyal JD fan. If he does get cut from the show, I'm done with Veronica Mars for good. |

I refuse to watch the final five. Maybe later when I am no longer angry, I'll download the Logan scenes.
I refuse to support anything that Rob Thomas has to do with. I honestly feel that season is going to end with Veronica and Piz together. And Logan alone pineing away holiding his pillow. I refuse to support any of that crap. |

I am definately watching the final five episodes! I don't agree with some of the plot choices and I wish there was more character development, but I'm not willing to give up seeing my favorite characters probably for the last time because of it. They are all my favorite characters, Veronica, Logan, Keith, Mac, Wallace . . . I even like Piz. I had hoped that V & Piz would just function as the instigation of LoVe's reunion, but since it seems like that may not be the case, I want to watch and see how they end LoVe. Even if it sucks and I hate it and I bawl my eyes out, I want to see what is done with it. We know that Logan and Veronica are not going to end up enemies, so we'll have to get some really good friendship scenes at least. That's part of the reason why LoVe as a couple is so so good, because they have a connection that began as enemies, then into pals and then into EPIC love. There has got to be some kind of tribute to their history, even if they don't end the season together as a couple. And I want my tribute damnit.

I'm done.
I stayed with this show through Duncan, Hannah, Donut Run and all the other unspeakable events that RT threw at us, because I naively believed that in the end Logan and Veronica were "the" couple. No matter what happened, I was convinced they would end up together. It was this belief, this hope, that kept me tuning in week after week. However, knowing that Logan and Veronica won't be together, and what's worse that Veronica and Piz will end the show as a couple, just sickens me. I expected a pay-off for all the torment that LoVe fans have been made to endure, but we're never getting that pay-off, instead all we get is a big "screw you." And in my mind, the reason Piz and Veronica are ending up together, is that Piz is RT's version of Duncan 2.0. He's that "good guy," who will never break poor little Veronica's heart. RT didn't get his chance for Duncan and Veronica to ride off in the sunset together, because those stupid LoVe fans ruined all his plans, and got Teddy Dunn fired. So, instead of Duncan and Veronica, we get Piz and Veronica. RT's last chance to stick it to the Logan fans. |

Quote: Sorry, but we don't know anything of the sort. They may have a few cutesey scenes before 19, but we have no guarantee that they will end up as friends. In fact, the general indication is that they are going to end up completely estranged. |

It's not just L/V fans who are being shafted; it's everyone who has ever been invested in Logan.
As to answer the question, no. I'm not going to be watching this show any more. It stinks like a rotting corpse wrapped in shit. |

It may be awkward as hell, but I never felt like Veronica and Logan weren't at least friends now. Okay, so we don't "know" that they are friends by the end of the show because we don't have explicit information about it. I have a really hard time believing that they aren't going to end up friends in the end! I have read warnings not to expect a LoVe ending and spoiles that Logan goes OPJ on Piz and Veronica is probably not going to be pleased about it. But I don't think there is a good reason yet to think they will end up estranged at the end. It's all perspective I guess. I can see why people would look at it the other way around and not see a good reason to think they WON'T end up estranged. I'm just trying to project some hope for LoVe as friends at least, however useless those attempts may be.

Quote: Exactly. I could maybe see the whole "it's a long and winding road/rollercoaster" crap in terms of LoVe, if it was just this relationship not ending on any kind of a note we, as shippers, could appreciate. But it's also what would/might happen with Logan that spells out so blatantly RT's final intent. Urgh. |

I'm still kind of in shock, I just started watching this season, and the only reason I kept watching was because I loved LoVe, the mysteries were fun and all the characters were interesting and basically for every reason already listed, but the LoVe relationship was the biggest pull for me. I kind of can't believe that a creator would be so malicious as to tease us for three years and then end it with no LoVe or continuing with no Logan.
I'm still going to keep on watching just because I like to punish myself, and I want to see how it will end, because if there is no Logan next year it will be over for me. ~Manda |

Regarding Logan vs. Piz in the final five:
What continuously puzzles me is why would a show creator ignore the fan favorite actor (Jason Dohring) in favor of an actor who has little to no following, and has only been on the show for one season? RT KNOWS the fans love Logan and he also KNOWS that the bulk of the fandom are Logan/Veronica 'shippers. For these reasons, he has to be aware that fans are going to be outraged by the last episode. But the sad fact is, I just don't think Rob cares. Honestly, if I were Jason Dohring right now, I'd be VERY pissed off. He is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, promoter of VM. He always shows up to appearances, constantly talks up the show, and is extremely generous and kind to fans. He's worked his ass of for this show and this is the thanks he gets? He's shoved aside, so Piz and Veronica can take center stage? It absolutely sucks. What pisses me off most about the outcome of the last episode is the fact that I stuck with the show for its entire run, despite wanting to jump ship more times than I can count and this is the thanks I get? I've waited all this time to see Piz and Veronica live their "happily ever after?" It just feels like I've wasted 3 years of my life, concentrating on and advocating for a show whose creator has nothing but complete and utter contempt for the fans who worked tirelessly to keep his show on the air. |

Screw everything I said in my post! After recent news of the appalling V/P) ending, I will never watch this show ever even in the retarded FBI format. I will NOT watch the last 5 episodes. I really do not care that it is the last episode ever and I promise myself to never ever watch a peice of crap that we call a show that RT ever creates in the near future. I think I'm secretly a masochist.
I'm going to watch the final five because I need to know, how when I write fanfci how to fix them. I had even thought of a way the FBI years could have worked but once they got rid of JD it was all down the toilet. |
