You know what I'm wondering? The episode description says that it is Weevil who helps Veronica solve the sextape scandal. Why Weevil? Why now? Just because she helped him the episode before? Why not Piz? Surely Piz would be more interested in solving it.

I wonder if Weevil is working at Mars Investigations again. I'd actually like that so I suppose not, but who knows? Maybe Rob actually tried to be realistic for a change. There's no way Veronica could afford to keep Mars Investigations open when she's a full time student - she just wouldn't be able to log the hours necessary that would make keeping MI open worthwhile (since most of what she earned would go down the drain on rent). There needs to be someone there during work hours - when she's at college. Weevil isn't studying. I'd actually find it more realistic if he could hold down the fort and work with her especially since they already "foreshadowed" his interest in working there at the start of the season.

It's just an idea and probably won't happen but it's damn weird that Weevil is the one helping her. Why not Piz? The only reason I can think she'd prefer Weevil is if she a) suspected Piz (which we're almost certain she doesn't), or b) wanted Weevil for muscle. If she wanted Weevil for muscle, I don't understand why she'd get so upset with Logan for being muscle in the second instance, by laying into that guy. There's just . . .why would she need Weevil's help when she has barely needed anyone's help all season? The bad guys are wealthy if it's a secret society, it's not like she needs Weevil's connetions.

Also, I am getting shivers of dread expecting them to use this Weevil/Veronica colleague experience to further castigate Logan. Every time Logan comes up in dialogue now, Weevil distorts the truth about their antagonism and season two becomes a figment of my imagination. I don't mind the antagonism but I want Logan to have the opportunity to state his case instead of getting stabbed in the back while Veornica stands there and doesn't defend him nor say anything to contradict the insults. I also would like the zingers to be accurate - anything about how he treated Lilly just makes me want to hurl fruit at the writers because that's the least of his crimes considering what she did.

The one way I might be interested in Weevil/Veronica dialogue as concerning Logan's place in this saga of suck, is if he's the one that confronts her on how she treated Logan for laying the smackdown on the bad guy. Coming from Weevil? That would certainly be a cold shower to hot rage.

I don't even know if this spoiler/foiler is accurate but if there was someone who told Veronica she overreacted to Logan's behaviour, I think I'd actually want it to be Weevil, because then I could fanwank some use of Weevil insulting him like season two never happened all year. Because if even Weevil doesn't see this as Logan being a bad person - someone who thinks Logan breathing is a bad thing - then that WOULD be a huge reality-slap to Veronica.

Weevil hates Logan with everything he has but I've always felt they have very similar honour codes especially when it comes to how women they respect are treated (remember Tad on the flagpole after Carmen was humiliated with a sextape? Yeah, Weevil is fine with dispensing justice just like Logan). I can't see Weevil thinking Logan is irresponsible and violent and shouldn't have hurt the guy who did that to V. I'm actually very, very surprised that Weevil doesn't help him or volunteer to do something similar.

Actually, what am I saying? Character continuity shmaracter continuity. What do the writers care? And if Weevil is all responsible and not violent about Veornica being sexually humiliated (which might work only if he's employed at MI since his violence was what got him fired the first time), I think I'll have another good pop-corn munching giggle. Hi Weevil, I know it sucks but you had to be woobified and matured this episode so that we could make Logan look like a big psycho! Don't worry though, we'll get you back to being your badass, janitorial self next episode.

Sigh.

It's so sad though because I still see such potential and way for character arcs (and I say that with a scoff) could be capped off to make the whole season come together and make sense. My brain still sees it, but my brain also remembers that RT has yet to satisfy any character arcs he has seemed to set up so I know I won't get that. It's an endless cycle of diappointment and the fact that it seems so simple to the viewers - all the ways satisfaction could be gained by reaching conclusions in particular arcs - just makes the writing look incredibly awful. Really awful.
