And here's another.
Can you identify the chick? She looks a lot like Veronica but other then that I have no idea who she is. Just ridiculously depressing. |

Urgh! Urgh! Just ....
Sigh. It's funny: I knew it was coming. I knew I would hate it. I thought I have come to terms. And yet, here I am with my hands shaking. It wasn't enough to push Logan into perpetual downtrodden position. It wasn't enough to make it the Piss show. It wasn't enough to take all the moments we so craved from LoVe and give them to this artificial, cringe-worthy, rage-blackout-inducing scham of a couple. But they had to go and try to re-create the settings we so loved about LoVe for this? First they stage the completely contrived first kiss between Veronica and Spaz on a balcony (subtle, aren't they?). And now the effing sex scene on a bad, with Veronica practically in the same position she was with Logan at the end of ATttD, and there's a camera rolling? Add to that the fact that KB is doing exactly what I expected -- playing it extremely intimate with CL, while she was barely touching JD and putting about a mile between herself and him in those two luke-warm bed scenes we've got this season -- and it's like twisting the knife into an already gaping wound. I almost felt a twinge of sadness for a few days about the show ending (I got a bit sentimental and forgot all the crap for a moment). This is very timely, because it cured me on the spot. How funny is it that, Rob Thomas' decision to cram Piss and Pizzed-on-Veronica down our throats resulted in enough viewers tuning out and leaving the show altogether, it ultimately led to cancellation? |

JaneDtwo, as usual, you've summed up my thoughts EXACTLY.
I know a lot of people are speccing that Veronica is faking her happiness but if that's supposed to be the case then KB is playing it all wrong. I know! Shocker! She seems happier here then we've seen her since the giddy L/V makeout days of S1. I guess that's about right though since most of the scenes are exactly the same except Piss is now Logan. I don't know why I can't over the fact that we've had no real intimacy between L/V since S1 (and flashback xTerra scene) yet have had it with everyone else. Honestly. Thinking about how RT KNEW what MANY fans wanted and yet refused to give makes me furious. This crap-in the last episodes EVER -really seems like a big "FU Shippers! Love, Rob". |

Quote: Yep. It's hard not to read this as deliberate. He may talk out of his behind about how he was writing a SEASON finale and not a SERIES, but he cannot possibly be so deluded that he didn't at least consider for a second that this was the last year. And besides the finale, the key LoVe scenes were written (and played by KB) as tepid (with maybe one or two exceptions, if that). I'm thinking Rob has gotten our reply by now, though. It came in the form of the Ratings Report card for the last episodes. One one side, there's a diagram of steeply falling numbers, on the other, a short message: "FU, Rob! LoVe. Shippers." |

Yup. It's one giant FU. We never saw LV happy together at all and this certainly cements my view that Veronica never loved him. They can deny it and say oh but she said 'ye-ah' and 'yes' but please. The physicality says a thousands words, words are meaningless when there are no feelings behind them. Logan loved touching her, she kept a five yard distance between them. That says it all. No trust, no lust, no nothing. Veronica wasn't in to Logan and now she's crawling all over Piz and that says EVERYTHING.
Thanks, Rob. No really, you clarified it for me so well. I wouldn't even be that pissed off that they're making Piz the romantic lead if they weren't utterly destroying Logan in the process. It's overkill. We get it. The ship is over, it's sailed, it's way past the horizon and the show has no interest in exploring the positive side of the relationship any more. We get it. But was it necessary to have Logan go violent? To have Veronica verbally eviscerate him? To have Parker dump him? For him to be alone? Really?? Was that necessary?? That's the "Fuck You, Fans" part of it. The overkill. And it's having the opposite effect on me, it's only making me hate RT and Veronica. Put on top of that the fact she never even suspects Piz of being responsible for the sex tapes and this couldn't be a bigger fuck you to Logan fans. Not even LV fans, but Logan fans. Why? It's exactly the same set up as the season one LV arc, exactly the same. That has to be intentional and now they're going to try and say it's "character growth" for Veronica to trust Piz. Character growth my ass. It would have only been character growth if we saw her trusting someone that had proven themselves and she'd struggled to trust in the past. The contrast would have shown the "growth". There is no contrast with Piz, so it seems inexplicable that all of a sudden she trusts him more than she's trusted people who have been in her life for so long. Whatever, Rob, nice writing. It's also not character growth when she proceeds to trust Piz BUT remains a huge hypocrite and blasts Logan for jumping to conclusions re: Piz and going crazy on him. Because clearly Piz would never do something like that and Logan was being ruled by jealousy when they fought. WHATEVER. Like she's never made the exact same judgement call on the EXACT SAME evidence (actually, Logan had better evidence because the camera actually rolled and was the footage was released). What a BITCH. My rage knows no limits. They succesfully twisted me up but I didn't do what they wanted me to do. It's hard to hate somebody that has been raked over the coals every episode all season and completely downtrodden. Logan is officially the under dog and Veronica is officially the evil force of oppression on the show. Which is just too funny and it's probably just in my perception but that's what I'm seeing. It's so funny because I know that can't be what they want me to think. A lot of people have been in denial about the sex but at least that's settled now. They have sex, Veronica is the one really pushing for it, she's crawling all over Piz and is hot for him in a way she wasn't hot for Logan all season. We get it. Piz rules. Logan sucks. They get some action and Veronica is happy in her perfect Pizzing relationship. How wonderful for her. Excuse me while I escort Logan out of the building and proceed to crawl all over him and do all manner of wicked things. At least he's free now, he's FREE!!!!! I am so happy that he is free and we won't have to see year two of the bash Logan hour. SO. RELIEVED. I don't want to see any positive LV anything after that sex scene. No thanks. She clearly wants and loves Piz more than she ever loved Logan and I just don't want to see Logan thaw at all of submit himself to further emotional torture. Run, Logan, run!! Run away and never return!!! / Scar. Actually, I hope to God that one of LLL's spoilers was accurate and that Logan apologizes to Piz and blows Veronica off. I don't think it is accurate given the tone of other spoilers released but it would be nice. All I know is that I don't want the last thing I say after watching the last episode of Logan Echolls (what? That's what you guys call the show too, right?) to be: "How utterly pathetic." I don't want to see this pathetic shell of a once glorious character (*cringes at word choice*) going all woobified because she doesn't love him any more. For God's sake man *kicks* she HATES you, she wants Piz like she's never wanted you (and I don't care if it's the acting or the writing, or both, it's what comes across on screen given her enthusiasm) and you are SO pathetic if you want her to come back just to settle for you again. Get a god damn life and tell her to fuck the hell off. I miss Logan. *wibbles* I'm glad this footage was released even though I can't stomach it because at least that puts to rest all the naysayers who thought RT would never do this. Or that it would be about Veronica "pretending". Pretending my ass. There's fanwanking and then there's totally ignoring canon. Granted, I would love to be able to ignore canon since canon sucks so hard, but I can't do it. If there's one thing this season has taught me it's that Veronica's opinion of Logan will never change. Not that she's STARTED to think of him badly, just that it's about time Logan woke up and realized she's never thought of him well. I hate Rob for giving every ship what they wanted except for LV, but in the end I'm also kind of grateful he did something so horrifying that it shocked all hope right out of my system. It really cements my idea that this was all about Veronica realizing Logan is bad for her and that he sucks; and Logan realizing that Veronica is never going to love him like he loves her (or at all). He had no intention of showing them as some great, epic couple, I wouldn't be surprised if that speech was meant to be ironic given what happened afterwards with Kendall. I'm glad Rob let me put away all illusions about his vision. Now I am perfectly content to choose which character I will follow and love after the death and it certainly won't be Veronica because I lost all empathy with her journey, didn't enjoy the ride and basically disagreed with all of her choices. Which makes me not care much for her. So *shrug* whatever, she can have her Piz. I'll take Logan and do what I can to save his spine in fanfic. Because it's certainly not going to happen in canon given that there is no character who will take his side other than Dick - and we all know his opinion counts for nothing. |

I didn't watch it, won't, I'm just coming here to be annoying. Back when the spoilers for NitW came out and from that point on, I said over and over and over and over and over again throughout S2 and during parts of S3 that Rob does not like Logan or Logan/Veronica shippers and that he hated us and I was shot down again and again and again.
I really wish that Rob hadn't proven that I knew exactly what I was talking about, but, of course, he did. |

After V got on Piz's bed I immediately closed the page, LoVe shipper instinct I guess. Then, I finally got up the nerve to watch the entire clip. That was a mistake, now I feel genuinely nauseous.
What is RT thinking?!? WTF?!? PiVe has been together for a really short time and from the looks of that scene its like we're supossed to believe that they've been together forever and they'll just die if they're apart! Has RT seen the previous seasons? Maybe he got smacked in the head by some LoVe shipper some time ago and he's lost his memory! If this is how it all ends, with poor little Piz hurt and Veronica feeling sorry for him and hating Logan, I don't think I'll be watching anything that is associated with RT ever again! What's the point, if I'll only left disappointed in the end!?! |

Re: So here's the scene we've been dreading...

I have said time and again that messing with LoVe will end the show and it's happened. I just LOVE the fact that the cancellation happened as soon as Pizonica started. The fans spoke out by NOT watching this piece of shit storyline.
I have never seen a show that has completely self-destructed like this one has. I can't believe the hate towards Logan. I can't believe that Veronica will just go off with Piz and get everything she wants. Meanwhile, Logan gets ripped apart by her and everyone else. I am so glad that this show is done since I believe that if it had continued Logan would have been presented as a complete psychopath. Veronica Mars turned into someone that I don't recognize. She was an outcast at first but she had some humanity too. That's all gone now and we're left with this monster who viciously turns on the one guy who really loves her (God knows why) and she gives all her affection ( and her body) to the new guy. She has fooled herself into believing that Logan is scum and not worth anything. Yeah, all those times he saved her ass and worried about her and put her first-that means nothing to her since she has the Pizster to serenade her with that goddamn guitar of his. He's the perfect, can do no wrong boy that Veronica thinks is the ONE? Excuse me while I go barf now. I just happy that RT's plan backfired. He messed with the canon of the show and treated those of us who enjoyed Logan and Veronica together like we were idiots for wanting that in the first place. He honestly thought that putting this new guy and pairing him with Veronica would make the ratings better? HAH! That really worked out for you didn't it, RT? Anyway, JD is free now. That's what I wanted most of all. He will no longer play a character that is assassinated or maligned. I agreed with every word in Polartruckin's post by the way. Echoed my thoughts entirely. Isn't it sad that the very last two episodes of this show revolve around a sex tape of Veronica screwing? That is just pathetic to me. The show will end in the gutter. |

Re: So here's the scene we've been dreading...
Quote: I will fully admit that I was one of the people who shot you down, and thought some posters(not just you, JenniferH) were taking it too far. But now? I don't see how I was so blind to what was happening. I guess I was just optimistic that RT genuinely cared about ALL the characters he created. Not just everyone but Logan. So. I guess what I'm trying to say is you were totally right. And I wish I would've seen that earlier. I think all this shit that's happening right now would hurt a hell of a lot less if I'd been preparing for it for a year. Those scenes are both just sickening. But the vindication of declining ratings with the start of Pissonica is astonishingly fullfilling. It does make me feel REALLY happy that it's coming back to bite RT in the ass. |

You were really neglectful in your post. You should have had a HUGE!!! Disclaimer on that link. People should know that if they let it run they will eventually get to the 3rd clip, which is one with Kristen Bell and Chris Lowell interviewing each other. It goes on for about 5 1/2 min (believe me....I watched because I'm a masochist). WARNING!!!! DO NOT LET THE CLIPS RUN.....GET YOUR DOSE OF NAUSEA WITH THE SHOW CLIPS AND RUN. DO. NOT. WATCH. THAT. INTERVIEW. If you'll excuse me, I have to go take a shower now!!!!! What a great example of foreshadowing, Veronica! BTW, for those of you unfortunate enough to be familiar with the above-referenced interview....What's up with Kristen saying her fav moment of S3 was when Piz danced at the Rape-frat party? Are you friggin' kidding me???!!!! I will follow JD anywhere. Please if you know of a great place I can go to keep an eye on his career, please let me know. Kristen can come and go. She's good, but she's no JD. If they end up playing in shows in opposite time slots, JD has my vote. In fact, I would love it if he gets the boot from the VM universe only to be picked up by some major network for some major show. Something bigger than Chris Lowell being on the Grey's spin-off and definitely something bigger than some voice-over on a flailing network like the CW!!!! Are you feeling the LoVe??? Yeah, me too! Tuesday, my night to put the kids to bed, send the husband to the bedroom. Tuesday, my night to perch, anxiously awaiting the chime of 9:00. The calm, the excitement, the hour when all else fades and there is but one single focus. No jokes, no games, just the intense study of this thing we call LoVe.

obsessedlikeneverb4 that clip has been around awhile... you know I don't mind them off screen as much as I do on. On the CW they have Chris Lowell do commentaries (or he has for the last two episodes) and he is pretty funny... I just don't like Piz near Logan's Veronica

Yeah, I figured it had been around because of the Super Bowl comment, but I could have lived without seeing it.
I agree with you that RL, Chris isn't bad....my problem is watching the interaction between him and KB. Just seems like she has shown more affection to Chris in the 1 season than she has to JD in 3 seasons of working together. Maybe someone can suggest some contradictory clips. Something that shows KB fawning all over JD the way she does CL. I'm just sick, sick, sick. Then, after the interview with them is the clip of the interview of JD at the CW launch party. The interviewer refers to KB's dislike of Logan and that he isn't worthy of VM. JD covers good, but he still sounds sad. And, he's so gracious. He had such wonderful things to say about S3 and CL and KB. He's gracious, that's the bottom line. Anyway, Echolls3, I was being sarcastic. I go now to find the Coronado Bridge. I shall join Lynn in all that was good and right in S1. Sidenote: I would totally spend money for a DVD of just LoVe moments. I mean everything. From day one where she is looking across the quad at him, to the secret glances, to the full on make-outs and screaming fights. I would love to be able to pop in something and watch one long flowing clip that has any and all scenes that include L or V in relation to each other. Anyone got that for me? Tuesday, my night to put the kids to bed, send the husband to the bedroom. Tuesday, my night to perch, anxiously awaiting the chime of 9:00. The calm, the excitement, the hour when all else fades and there is but one single focus. No jokes, no games, just the intense study of this thing we call LoVe.

There is also a clip in here youtube.com/watch?v=yRZkOV29FP4 from the austin panel that is Rob Thomas with Kristen and Jason... (there are four parts total) this one in particular is funny around the 7 minute mark or so when Rob starts talking about a new project that may star Lindsey Lohan and everyone boos and then he says he wrote a scene for Jason and Kristen..... Funny! |
