I don't get this. Are you saying they blackmail Keith with Veronica's tape to back out of the Sheriff race? Or that public opinion swings because of said tape? Because I don't see how blackmail could work when there is no leverage. If the tape has already been released and everyone in Hearst has seen it, then ... there's nothing to blackmail Keith with because the threat has already been fulfilled. You can't say: "If you don't do (A) I'll do (B), if (B) is already out there."

I can see Logan taking Vinnie in a fight but that's still really lame. Because Vinnie came to Veronica's defence earlier in the season and he's never been a mustache twirling villain before either (though the fact he gets given fake mustaches does make that somewhat amusing). He was smart and sleazy and ambitious, sure, but never all mwhahahahahahaha let's humiliate Veronica. I do buy his transition to villain more than I would if, say, Piz went evil though because he was involved with the Fitzpatricks. But didn't he defend Veronica from the Fitzpatricks earlier in the season?

Also, isn't he the sheriff if Keith loses the election? So . . . ? Logan essentially kicks the Sheriff's ass? Wow....I guess he is a special kind of stupid! That's what being in love gets you, I guess. But I don't get why Veronica warns him that Vinnie is dangerous unless she's talking about his connection to the Fitzpatricks or the Sheriff. I don't think she's really thought of Vinnie as dangerous before and if she DOES consider him dangerous and Logan stupid for attacking him anyway, why would she try to thank him?

So is Logan subsequently arrested? I like that this refutes the idea of Logan beating Piz partially because of jealousy because he obviously just wanted to pound the person responsible. Jealous or no. Hitting Vinnie would have nothing to do with jealousy. At least that puts that to rest and reveals that Logan truly was just defending her on principle not because he hates Piz (though, who can blame the guy?).

And anyway, I'm not sure how much to believe it because we know another source confirmed that Jake is involved in the sex tape and the push to get Keith out of office. We were told this by a previously very reliable source. I never thought Logan would beat down either Jake or Clarence (because, bitch please, Clarence would kill him) but that doesn't tell me they're not the puppet masters pulling Vinnie's strings.

Death? Not surprised. Could be anyone considering how dispensible all these characters are. I guess if he doesn't go to Africa, Wallace might be dead but meh. Stopped caring when the writers stopped caring. I hope it's not Wallace because V's already lost a best friend. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Weevil. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Dick either, but why make him that important? Also, I wouldn't want Logan to lose another friend. I would LOVE if Logan died. Hey, it's the last episode and I bet JD could rock that scene if they actually made his death memorable rather than of the "I smell bread" off-screen variety.

Why would she thank him here? Especially when another reliable source said at this stage Veronica is still struggling over even forgiving him for what he did to Piz. Why is violence only okay when she vetos it? *rolls eyes* I actually don't understand why she'd want to thank Logan for attacking Vinnie especially if Vinnie is Sheriff. Which just means Logan will go to jail and was especially stupid for risking so much to defend someone who doesn't even like him. Damn romantic fool. *shakes head* Sigh.

I would however like it if it's true that Logan pushes her away, especially since we know he apologizes to Piz after he beats up the second person. Acknowledging he was wrong about Piz would not be so whipped puppy if he really fobbed Veronica off in that scene. Because if he ignored Veronica's thanks, his apology would be more about acknowledging a mistake than sucking up to Veronica so she'll have mercy on him. I would like that because it shows Logan is a good and honourable man without needing to have ulterior motives.

I don't think I quite believe it yet since we've been informed he apologizes to both Veronica and Piz more than once. Which sounds desperate to me and doesn't gel with blowing her off when she offers an olive branch. Why would he do that if he was over how judgemental she was? Before the fight, he is there with Veronica in some capacity because he hears a smart remark from Vinnie (lllaaammmee) to Veronica and subsequently wails on the guy. So . . . he was trying to get Veronica to forgive him for what happened to Piz and be her friend, and yet, he doesn't accept her thanks? That makes all the sense that doesn't.

Given the way they handled all of Mac's love interests this season, I'm not surprised. One episode it's all yay happy, next they're depressed. Her love life moves lightning quick and with no depth. Not at all surprised if she is broken up with Max. Especially when Max is considered a "bad boy" (hahahahaha, sigh, hahahahaha). Clearly bad boys are evil and I suppose that brings the comparison full circle.

I don't know what's going on or what I believe, I just know I don't see Logan being presented as any kind of hero in these last episodes. Perhaps in the very last, yes, because he does defend her even if he does it foolishly. But meh. Becuase he's still utterly alone. I will fully admit that if they have Logan walk away from Veronica to go in search of his independence, his spin and his self esteem I will probably watch this episode and applaude. Because I've wanted that all season. I'm not counting on it though.

I do promise to come back here if that happens and thank you for telling us Logan has some dignity at the end. But given the direction this season has taken so far, I just can't think Logan will be presented as the Logan I know and love nor that anyone else will acknowledge that he has earned respect by this stage. They haven't so far, I don't expect anything now. I wish I still had the strength to hope for it.
