This is what we know so far....
What Rob has to says about LoVe or LoVe as he sees it:
1. They will be together and "going strong" at the beginning of the season.
2. He likes to write for Logan and Veronica, whether they are in a relationship or not.
3. He agrees with the fans in the "Logan and Veronica Camp", that it is time to explore them as a couple in an actual relationship.
4. He also agrees that we have only really seen stops and starts previously. He says, "... we never got to see them in a solid relationship. I'm interested in exploring what the two of them look like in that." He does say that it will be a bumpy ride, though.
5. He has many roadblock and obstacles planned to throw in the path of their relationship, to see if they can last.
6. He is interested in seeing if the chemistry will change between them while in a relationship.
7. He feels there is an element of destiny to their relationship, but won't confirm that his end game is to have "Logan and Veronica will ride off into the sunset" in the final frames of VMars.

RT: Thomas: [Nods] Well, I think that's perfectly legitimate, and the thing that I always say about the two of them is, I'm as interested in them not-together as I am together. I love to see them in scenes together, but whether or not they're dating doesn't really matter that much to me. But I want it to feel One thing I would agree with the fans who are in that Veronica/Logan camp is that we never got to see them in a solid relationship. I'm interested in exploring what the two of them look like in that. We're going to throw obstacles in front of them. So even if the destiny of the show is that in episode 100 they ride off into the sunset together -- which I'm not saying it is! But it certainly is one of the possibilities, and if they continue to have the kind of chemistry I generally think that they have on screen, together or not, that could be the ending of the show -- I want it to be a rocky ride. I think that's what's fun, dramatically.

As I've always said, Veroncia and Logan are going to have a very rocky road. They're two obstinent and difficult people, so there is this sort of lightning there between the two. I love writing the two of them together, and I love writing the two of them apart, so I enjoy either configuration. I want to treat it like...I mean, I think there is an element of destiny to their relationship. At the same time, I want to play the realities of falling in love at 17 or 18. How many couples meet at 17 or 18 then have a wonderful, monogamus, committed relationship until they grow old and die together...there will be bumps in the road. DivX.com interview with Rob Thomas

So, a regular guy named Piz enters as a romantic possibility, even though Veronica is happily dating Logan (Jason Dohring), says Rob Thomas, the show's creator.
"We surrounded Veronica with a number of brooding, moody rich boys, and I really wanted to have a true, middle- class, friendly, no-huge-psychological-dilemma character on the show," Thomas says. "Someone in more of the Lloyd Dobler school [from 'Say Anything'], a friendly guy with lots of words to say." Chicago Sun Times interview with Rob Thomas
What Jason has to say about LoVe or LoVe as he sees it:
1. He sees LoVe as, "two best friends in love". (Vine interview video from E-online KV)
2. He says that he likes to play Logan and Veronica in a relationship and as antagonists.
3. He believes that either in a loving moment or in a fight, there is always love underlining the sub-text for their encounters. He states,"the snarkiness doesn't work without the love underneath. It's always there, you know what I mean? It's always been there, because I think the bigger the love there is in the first place, the bigger the break-up is."
4. He thinks Logan is just going to college to be close to Veronica (from Comic Con).

Was it annoying to you last season when Logan and Veronica were not together?
No. Not really. Because, dude, the snarkiness doesn't work without the love underneath. It's always there, you know what I mean? It's always been there, because I think the bigger the love there is in the first place, the bigger the break-up is.
So, it's always cool, even when we're playing those scenes where we're against each other, we're always - I'm in love with her. JD interview at Neptunesite
What Kristen has to say about LoVe or LoVe as she sees it:

2. She is excited about getting another love interest for Veronica that is, "the complete opposite of Logan".
3. And so on....

I think Veronica and Logan will always be an on-again, off-again thing. That's my gut instinct, and I feel like it works so well with the show, because Jason is such an amazing actor. Who knows if they'll ever give the audience closure, at the end of five or 10 years or whatever, but I think they'll always be on-again, off-again. They're star-crossed, ya know?" KB interviewed by KV on E-online

KB: I have a new love interest. He's Wallace's new roommate. They haven't gone there with the love interest yet, but I think they're thinking about it. They're going to see how it pans out. But they introduced a new guy who's the exact opposite of Logan. So rather than being like--Logan is very like James Dean, he's very like brooding and solitary, and he just does that wonderful, like old movie star thing. This guy is sort of like goofy and funny and charismatic in a totally different way than Jason is. And so I think they're going to sort of let Veronica choose a little bit between the dark side and the light side.
KV: So we're going sort of to be tortured into liking this guy is the sense that I'm getting?
KB: Oh, yeah. You're not even going to be tortured; you'll like him immediately. He's really--his name is Chris Lowell. He did that show "Life As You Know It". He's so adorable and so funny. And all the new characters are so great.
