I know! When I saw Daran Norris' name in the credits, I thought YAY! I must say, I LOVE Weevil and I've really missed having him around. Wallace? Sorry, if he's not playing V's sidekick, I must confess, he bores me. HATED the outfits on Logan/Veronica, but loved how she looked so grateful when he showed up.
I would have totally liked the scene longer between Weevil/Logan, but I still enjoyed it. "Hey, Joe College!" "Jose Lunchpail." Hee! Still, very, very annoying that there was no defense and no follow-through to Weevil's line about Logan treating Lilly badly. Grrrrr. And I must say I got quite a kick out of Lamb's "Good looking, we'll be back for you later" to Logan. Yer right, Lamb-o, he IS good looking!!! Veronica, eh. I'm with Weevil. She is like the LEAST trusting person on the planet. ETA: HEE!!! As Lamb is doing the Robot, you can hear someone say in the background: "Sheriff's doing the Robot; someone get a camera phone." HEE!!! One more: I have to say I'm REALLY impressed with the new guys. This episode feels sooooo much like a season one episode. It really does. Ignoring the fact that how can they just assume that's Claire's rapist in the ATM shot (because it could have just been a guy there to get money) -- that was last week's error -- I really enjoyed this episode. Nick Marck is a good director and I think the new guys did a wonderful job -- this really felt like a S1 episode. There were a lot of little moments that worked, there was a good flow, all of the characters felt like the characters we know and love and I liked the little bit we did get of LoVe. (We'll just ignore next week's promo. In fact, if anyone wants to talk about it -- start a new thread!) All in all, very good episode. Overall, maybe the best of the season, but adding in the L/V stuff, the second best. Very good. I liked a lot. Speaking of little moments - I loved Logan gesturing towards Veronica when she was telling the film student to pay attention to her and I LOVED the shot of Logan/Veronica walking with Back-up. Awwwwwwww!!!!! |

I know that I'm probably in the minority here, but this was definitely not my favorite episode of Veronica Mars so far this season. True, the episode did have some really good scenes with Weevil, Lamb, and Cliff, but the overall episode wasn't too good in my mind. The dean's story line bored me as did Wallace's storyline. However, next week's episode looked pretty good.

I liked the episode overall. Michael Muhney wins the gold star for the eppy definitely.
TOP THREE: 1) Lamb telling Logan "Hey good lookin', we'll be back for you later" 2) The film student scene 3) Logan/Weevil-ness. Edit: okay starting new post okay seriously, what were they dressed up as? I am dying. -Jenny

Hee. There were certainly a lot of little things to like in the ep. That's how I know I enjoyed the ep: when I keep noticing those small things! :)
Loved Weevil/Logan thing: "American Dream," "Is it dj vu if it happens more than twice?", and, yeay for Lamb's "good looking, we'll be back for you." Liked Veronica's and Weevil's confrontation, mainly because it showed that her trust issues are not only with Logan, and that they begin to impaire her judgement. Loved the movie geek approaching Logan for investment and his quick "no"! And his pointing at Veronica. Heee. The little girl was really scary. LOL. And mean as hell. Still, V ripping off the necklace from her throat gave me a bit of a jolt. I am not sure why. Cliff!!!! I am sad that Weevil's implication that Logan did something to Lilly was left hanging there with no further explanation. As if it's a fact and doesn't merit an explanation. I know that in RT's mind it was a misunderstanding on Weevil's part, but he forgot to impart this knowledge to the general audience, and now there's this unanswered accusation. And then we see Logan and Weevil meet and trade barbs, and Weevil doesn't - at least to me - look like someone who thinks Logan is this terrible person who'd hit a girl. There's a drop in continuity there. Sadly. I only watched it once so far, but I have questions already: 1. How terrible a person do you have to be to refuse bone marrow to your son just to spite his mother? 2. If impersonating a county official is a crime, how come Lamb isn't serving time? He's been impersonating a Sheriff for years now! LOL. 3. I'm with Jennifer: why did Veronica automatically assumed that the Asian guy in the photo was the rapist? He could have been a guy in line to use the ATM. 4. Do camps in the U.S. just randomly give out their alumni lists to anyone who'd call and ask? With home addresses and phone numbers? These are just off the top of my head. But I did like this episode a lot. And I was glad to see Wallace, but his story line was kind of strange: 1. If he dreams of being a mechanical engineer, why is THIS the class he is failing? 2. Does anyone else think his new buddy is setting him up to fail? All that study interruption and then he directed Wallace to the shady "tutor"? 3. Why did Wallace drew attention to himself by turning in his exam early? Couldn't he have pretended to sit till the end and struggle a little? It didn't make him look particularly smart. I am sure I'll have more question, which - I would like to stress - does not mean I disliked the ep in any way. LOL. I actually enjoyed it a lot! |

Quote: Yup, you're totally right. I googled them and found this pic and that's definitely what Logan and Veronica were dressed up as. ![]() They claimed to be brother/sister (for the group publicity?), but are actually a divorced couple. Why Logan/Veronica would dress up for them is beyond me, but there you have it. |

Quote: Yeah. Weird. That would have been really funny and a geat reference if Duncan and Veronica had dressed up as The White Stripes for a halloween party. Because they did think they were brother and sister and the whole divorce thing . . . but it doesn't mesh with the characters of Logan and Veronica at all. There are way better options. Hmm. Does Veronica really like their music or something? |

Ah. Thanks for the graphicial conformation.
Hmm. I have no idea why they dressed up as the White Stripes. I was amused by the wigs. -Jenny

Well at least they made way hotter versions of the White Stripes.
