Spontaneous LoVe moment??? |
Lead | |
|
Hey, just wondering on everyone's thoughts on the LoVe moment at the end of the finale. I know most people have commented on it in the episode topic, but I was wondering specifically if people thought that was Logan kissing V for the first time, or if they had already decided to get back together in their discussion? I'm assuming they must have at least talked because Veronia said Logan shrugged it off and called himself little orphan annie. But I can't decide if was Logan taking her by surprise or not. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking that Logan and Veronica got back together after he saved her from the roof top. I'm pretty sure they discussed it and, I'm also guessing that they got back together when he came over to her house. That's what I think.

My first impression was that they had their reunion off-screen, but after thinking it over, I change my mind. True, they probably had lots of talks before that scene, but I think that was the first time Logan actually kissed her. They probably talked about "taking things slow" but Logan being Logan just couldn't let V leave without kissing her goodbye.

I'm going to have to go with they had talked but nothing was official until he kissed her, which is why her response was "What are you doing.".

Quote: I didnt get this at first, mainly because all I wanted to hear about is LoVe, but what Keith and Veronica were talking about is the fact that Aaron is dead. Keith was wondering how Logan took it. That is what Veronica means by orphan Annie. It has nothing to do with Logan saving her or their relationship. I hope Keith begins to take on the father role for Logan! That would be a dream come true through! *Sorry for the long post, I know they are a drag, but I hope you all read this: In my opinion, that was the first time they kissed since last summer. I think the problem is that it wasnt spectacular enough for us because we were expecting so much. Well, we deserved more kissing and dialogue. Their story IS epic. The finale was so dramatic (at least the second half of it), LoVe deserved to have a dramatic romantic reconciliation too. Again, I really feel that it was too little too late. I just think it wasnt written very well. (Or was it?) Rob doesnt necessarily have the LoVe-bug we all have, but he realizes the importance of their relationship. On the other hand, the bond that they have, that they have always had is so powerful. The scene at the Neptune Grand door and elevator was our climax. The end of the finale was I think us on our way down from that where Rob could have chose to make it more dramatic and climatic in the finale. Although, one of my friends who enjoys the show very much thought the ending (in terms of Logan and Veronica) was wonderful. She said that was her favorite part. She oddly enough is not a LoVe-shipper (not a Duncan fan necessarily either), but she thought the BEST part of the finale was LoVe. For me, this is wonderful. I think LoVe shippers were kept in mind for the finale, but it was not written for us. It was written for all audiences to enjoy. My friend was in the pre stages of LoVe adoration after watching the finale where she did not care either way before. We all know how powerful their connection, dialogue and chemistry has always been. My friend has seen all of the episodes and chose now to finally see how beautiful LoVe really is. And for that I am glad. All of us LoVe obsesses can hope for is a renewed season with PLENTY of LoVe in Season 3. We went practically all of Season 2 without LoVe and I hope we get tons of it. You know, I was always banking on the wait for LoVe to reunite to be amazing. It would make up for all the episodes I waited patiently for them to find each other once again. For whatever reason, it really wasnt wordy or dramatic which was disappointing. I am so thankful Rob put them together and their reconciliation was SO natural. Maybe that is the beautiful part of it all. Maybe LoVe is so beautiful, wonderful and meant to be that Rob didnt put so much dialogue in it. The time issue could be a factor which would really suck, but overall I am so happy they are together again. The symbolism of him holding her in the moment she thinks her dad is for sure dead and so on which mirrors what happened in Russkie Business nonverbally recaps some of their best moments. I am sad we didnt get the chills we were hoping for, but my friend now is a mini-LoVe shipper and I will be satisfied all summer because I know (this year) that Logan is in Veronicas heart. He is always has been and from what I can tell will be forever! And two, guys dont forget, I have said this a million times, part of the reason LoVes pairing was SO amazing was that they were enemies who fell in LoVe. We all know in our hearts that their LoVe carried on. The cool thing is that now, I am confident that Veronica finally really knows that in her heart this time. She freaking needs to keep him there. With any luck, that is where he will stay and what we all have in store for us are many LoVe moments to come! |

Quote: Yes, Number1VMFan, that is IT! You just said exactly what I've been trying to articulate about why I felt a bit cheated by the LoVe reunion. Epic love deserves more than what we saw. It demands more! And in the context of the heightened drama of this last episode, the LoVe reunion should have been right there in tone and execution--and it wasn't. |

At first I totally thought that the couple had reunited off stage, and were just waiting to make out when they were out of Keith's sight. Probably because of the comment he had made about finding Logan on th couch and not elsewhere. But then after reading the posts, I like to think that they had agreed to take it slow, and that was the first time Logan had kissed her. Logan said a week was like a "month", which technically woud mean they weren't moving fast at all. If that makes any sense. I think Logan just couldn't wait to be with her. It was one of my favorite parts of the episode. Any time since Tuesday night, if I'm in a bad mood, and need cheering up, I watch that scene, and it always makes me smile.

I think they made up between when he left the apartment and when he shows back up to give her the ride. I think Veronica was only suprised by him dropping everything at that moment because she totally went into the kiss and they seemed way too comfortable after that when she's talking about coming back.
Plus you can't discount the many parallels between NiTW and NP. They've been discussed nonstop. And I think this is the big one. Rob faked out the boyfriend reveal in that one and I think he was doing the same here. Logan saying he wants to talk I'm sure is just an excuse to spend every last minute with her. When they came out, I think their looks we're already giving themselves away. |

Like most of you, I keep going back and forth. Obviously they had talked since the morning after the night on the roof since he offered to drive her, plus she knew his reaction (or non reaction) to his father's death. My take is that they might have discussed where their relationship was going (remember there were only two days in between), but I do think that was a spontaneous kiss and was the first one they had shared since before they broke up. I know she seemed very comfortable after first saying, "what are you doing," but I also think that is just because she is comfortable with the idea of them being a couple again.
Okay, I'm going to go watch it again for the 30th time, just to be sure. |

I agree with mostly everyone here, I too go back and forth. While don't get me wrong I absoultly LOVED the kissing. Yeah, it was like are they back together? when did it happen?
After anyalizing the whole end of the show over and over again though, I came to a realization that I think after the emotional rollercoaster of the night on the roof and Logan being there for her and how she can't seem to be out of his arms and constantly touching, Veronica is ready to really let herself love him and realize that he is the one that has always been there and will always be there. I think that they did talk and yes, wanted to keep it slow but Logan again coudn't stand not being with her for a whole week, needed to kiss her but also I think she saw this coming so saying "what are you doing?" she was questioning it, but it really did not come out of left field for her. And really are we that surprised. The best part of this couple is that fact that they can't keep their hands off each other. That fact is if we didn't see any type of kiss I would have been more dissapointed because the boy came to her rescue again and didn't leave her side for two days and he doesnt' get a kiss, I don't think so. |

I believe that they had previously dicussed reconcialing (that is spelled wrong I think but ya know what I mean.) I think that she may have gone to see him the same day, perhaps later that night, that she found Kieth to still be alive. I like to think that she showed up at his door, there was a bit of an awkward moment, then they got to talking.
I definatly don't think the kiss in the last scene was the first since last summer bacuase...well, we all will admitt, that if we were separated from Logan for that long, we wouldn't be able to take it that slow. I imagined their first kiss, since the breakup, to be slow and savoring, they hadn't done it in so long and they wanted to...savor it. Besides, if that were they're first kiss since the summer, do you really think V would break it so fast?? No, I think she would be supprised but she wouldn't, by any means, be rejecting. That's my opinion. |
