^Okay, maybe he wasn't standing it front of it, but Logan thought he was walking a bit too slow.

I saw it as a playful thing, you know like teenagers tormenting the younger sibling. We did it to our younger siblings, and to the younger siblings of our friends and vise versa. I have four brothers and they were always rough housing with each other and their friends. It may have looked to us like the kick was hard or whatever, but it is different for boys.

Quote: Para, I wondered the same thing. (But before we get to that, where was Ashley seen before? And, how did you get her name?) This season has been a big eh for me, so far. I think that the MotW have been weak, and without a strong A story, the B and C plots have been unable to carry the episodes. Add to that the more Duncan screentime, some really bad guest actors and them trying to cram too much into 42 minutes and you get some very uneven episodes. I am sure that Teddy Dunn is a very nice guy, but he has the charisma of a wet noodle on screen most of the time. I know he is trying to spice things up (see eyebrows of insanity) but when Kristin is doing a scene with him she lacks her usual zip. I know that the subject matter of the last episode did not generate much levity, but come on, I find their scenes pretty dull and there have been a lot of them. Another problem is that the show used to have great secondary characters who showed up and made an impact. In DtKA, I found the main MotW a snore, but by the end of the episode I wanted to be Mrs. Casey Gant because I really liked the character and the actor. Jackie Cook affects me like nails on a chalkboard when she is on screen. Ashley was a terrible actress and I found Jessie a little melodramatic in her line reads. If they had better actors playing the new roles, maybe we would care about some of them. Even the Goot is doing some strange Willy Wonka, goofy everyman thing that is annoying the crap out of me. The exception to this mini rant is Jeffrey Sams who is not only fine, but doing a very good job with the little bit he has been given. Please show more of him, in every sense. So, hopefully TPTB will give us some good involving mysteries with some memorable new characters (played by people who can act) and try to stop doing everything each episode. I think with a little focus they will be back on track. At least I hope so. ![]() |

Quote: Ashley Banks interviewed/was interviewed by Veronica in YTYKS, the same actress also appeared in LOTB, Mars vs. Mars and this episode. IMDb doesn't credit these roles as Ashley Banks (but rather Sly Girl and 09er Girl), but for the sake of assuming the best of the show, it would make sense if she is still supposed to be the same character. |

I love these overviews the make me laugh and point out things I'd forgotten about.
Quote: I believe the point of them talking about him in class was so that Wallace could make the connection that Girl A tells story to New Girl, next day story is in the newspaper. Wallace has realization that New Girl is asking tons of questions about the bus crash. Low and behold Wallace makes connection that New Girl is not New Girl, but a reporter fishing for stories and the person that hit Jackie's car. If she had left her insurance info it would not have matched with any students name b/c she was there undercover, so hence the fake note. |

The Clerks thing was probably my fault and if so was a typo. I certainly know when Clerks was missed so I'll take the blame for that one.
Terrific job on the description and the analysis everyone. Loved reading it. I loved the detailed analysis of that moment in the hall Jennifer and I can completely agree with your reasoning here. While I was one of those who thought/think that Veronica is not in love with Logan or in love and doesn't know it - your analysis of what she is thinking is probably spot on. Bravo!!!! Great description of everything that happened and a very fun read. |

Finally got to see Season 2 on DVD and let me say that line Logan uttered about "If the cuddling was the best part then he didn't do it right' cracked me up. It was my favourite quote for the year.

Quote: WOW!!! *bounces* I actually agree with Rob Thomas. I had the reaction he wanted me to have. *bounces* Wow, there's a first time for everything. I always wondered why everyone hated Jackie because I worked as a barista and have also been a customer ignored when I walk up to the counter. When you're "on a break" you don't stand behind the counter shmoozing with your boyfriend because, duh, people will assume you're working. And when she blew off Jackie, I was on Jackie's side. Veronica was working and she was standing in a place that doesn't scream "I'm on a break" of course Jackie would get impatient. I sure as hell hate it when servers ignore my business when I just want a freakin' coffee. So, yay!! All this time I thought RT wanted us to be on her side in this scene rather than Jackie's but he didn't. Awesome! |
