Why? Because it counts as mail and shows interest in the VD storyline (which is all it looks like TD has). Talk about loving LoVe, wanting them together, loving Logan, loving Jason, loving Kristen. Talk about not liking PodVeronica. Talk about liking or not liking the MoTW. *ETA point by Holly:* I would also strongly suggest mentioning other things you like. For example, the mystery of the week, or Wallace, or Dick or the dialogue, or music, whatever. Because the more stuff you mention, the more it makes it seem that Duncan/VD is just completely forgettable to you. Of course, make Logan and L/V praise most prominent, but definitely mention other things. But for the love of all things LoVely, do not mention Duncan, Teddy Dunn or VD. If you do, it gets counted as mail. A letter/email that is half about loving LoVe and hating VD does not get filtered into a Support for LoVe pile, it gets filtered twice: into a support LoVe pile and into a support VD pile. Because they don't differentiate the good and the bad, they see they've gotten mail about BOTH pairings and therefore the triangle is working!! We don't want that train of thought. DO NOT MENTION THE NAME DUNCAN, TEDDY DUNN or any variation on VD. God, I Love Those Boots ...

Buzz, is buzz, is buzz, is buzz, is well. . . buzz. I used to write into the CBS Letter Rip for GL and ATWT. I learned long ago that by not mentioning that you hate one part of a triangle actually gets you a lot further. I still haven't seen the show (1hr 15 min!!) and I know that I'm going to loathe seeing the VD on my screen, but I won't be telling UPN that. All they are gonna hear is how much I loved seeing LoVe on my screen and how v.v. much I adore Logan/JD. Jayne

Also, I just checked over on TWOP... seems like alot of people are saying they didn't think they were going to like VD, but it's not to bad! Ick! I just put a post over they're saying how much I missed LoVe interaction in this episode... No TD mention.... We all should try and post over there... Every litle bit could help! Hopefully

By not mentioning it, it's basically like it doesn't exist to you. It might as well not even be there since you didn't even bother to mention it. I would also strongly suggest mentioning other things you like. For example, the mystery of the week, or Wallace, or Dick (and I did love Dick, or "Ree-shard", in this ep--he provided the best laugh out loud moments for me), or the dialogue, or music, whatever. Because the more stuff you mention, the more it makes it seem that Duncan/VD is just completely forgettable to you. Of course, make Logan and L/V praise most prominent, but definitely mention other things.

I am going to send my letters out today but I also agree that we need to post on TWOP. And although I wasn't able to, I think it's very important that we try to post our reactions to the show as quickly as possible on the TWOP episode thread. I read the interview with RT at MI and he said that he goes there as soon as the show is over to read the reactions. Unfortunately the first 3 or 4 pages are all full of hey - why I like Veronica with Duncan so he's not going to get the impression that it was disliked unfortunately. I just have this horrid image of everyone in the writer's room all thrilled with the response to their little bit of VD. But I thank you for the headsup about not mentioning Duncan/Dunn or VD. I will make sure I incorporate all of the positive aspects we need into this letter.
