I am probably one of the few people watching the show here. Hence my visits to this board. I am finishing my degree and currently writing my dissertation on Eleanor Roosevelt and Hillary Clinton. What are you doing when you are not obsessing over Veronica Mars? Well technically I should be writing this dissertation, but I love reading, playing softball and anything active with my friends. Favorite Logan Moments? I adore his inspirational messages (am prone to the one about Eleanor Roosevelt), and love any scene he gazes at Veronica or snarks at her. Favorite Veronica Moments? Loved her in An Echolls Family Christmas. The uncomfortable look on her face when she was comforting Logan in Ruskie Business. "A Pony???!!!" (Not Pictured) Her smile when she sees Logan at Mars Investigations (Not Pictured) Favorite LoVe Moments? Their dance (this was the first episode I saw and consequently got me hooked) was amazing as was their first kiss in WoCD. I am married to the best guy I've ever met, we have a wonderful amazing 1 year old girl and are expecting another little girl in September. We own a beautiful house on a small lake in New Brunswick, Canada and we live there with our cats, horses and kid(s). I used to manage a chain(12) of restaurants in the city before I had Alix and am now going to be a full-time mom for a while. I studied English (honours) at university before I went into management. 3. Right now I am trying to be a good mom, good friend, and good wife. Life is pretty great. 4. Logan in full snark the day of his mom's funeral shows the response of a real human being who doesn't feel the need to candy coat things (ie: I'm Fine). I'm all about honest response. 5. Veronica tracking her mother down and being the strong one because she had to be. It takes guts to be that girl when you know she just wanted to be loved and held. 6. Any and all interraction these two actors have, good, bad and ugly. Season 2's first 8 episodes showed Logan's pain towards losing Veronica in all of his snarks to her. 7. Sons and Mothers- D.H. Lawrence, Ulysses -James Joyce, The Cantos of Ezra Pound, anything that redefines lanquage and plays with the use of it. The English Patient- Michael Ondatjee. All Douglas Adams' books and the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman for both the art and writing style. 8. Anyone, published or not who is creative and tests boundaries. A lot of TV writers are strong, a lot of TV viewers are strong, not as many screenwriters are strong because they are always edited. 9. Jeremy Irons, George Clooney, Adrien Brody, Kate Winslet, Scarlett Johanson(sp), VM cast is stellar casting and have great chemistry 10. Veronica Mars, 24, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Brainiac. 11. Still Crazy, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Sexy Beast, Batman Begins, Smoke Signals, Little Big Man, The Insider. 12. Peter Gabriel, The Clash, Dave Matthews, The Ramones, The Odds, Thrice, Finger Eleven, Sam Cooke, Green Day 13. Whiskey in the Jar by Metallica, Yellow by Coldplay, By Your Side by Sade. 14. I love to read and love complexities in all things TV and literary for entertainment. I like it when my head and heart get involved in a story, song or show. Veronica Mars is an excellent example of all things being combined properlyto form a show that has strong plots, character development, continuity, and brilliant scripting. Once again there are many, but I liked when she did a karate chop in the air, in Mars vs. Mars. It was a good scene because she lightened the mood, Logan was really tense, because of his situation. I'm a bit of a restless spirit. What are you doing when you are not obsessing over Veronica Mars? At the moment, most of my time is devoted to double majors in Accounting and Computer Information Systems, but in my little free time, I participate in various fandoms online, I read everything I can get my hands on, I listen to just about any kind of music, I watch TV (on DVD, mostly), and I perform with my band - In Shadows Dancing. Favorite Logan Moments? Just about any Logan moment is going to be magical. Jason Dohring is brilliant in his portrayal. Favorite Veronica Moments? Wow - I'm just completely impressed with Kristen Bell and any moment that she's playing Veronica is a favorite of mine. I really like the season 1 epsidoe "Ruskie Business." It has it all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Favorite Veronica Moments? Absolutley loved Veronica in the last two episodes of season 1, "A Trip to The Dentist" and "Leave it to Beaver." I've watched season 2, but can't remember a lot of epsiodes, which is horrible! I'm currenty watching those reruns and have preordered the DVD box set. Favorite LoVe Moments? Favorite LoVe moment to date is the whole "epic love" scene. It was great. Favorite Books? I read like crazy. Especially when summear arrives, but so far, the thop 5 would be: Where the Red Fern Grows, The Book of Fours, Queen of the Slayers, Dawn, and Scribbler of Dreams. Right now I am moving so my life is extremely chaotic but when I do get free time Im usually watching movies, listening to any new music I can get my hands on, having coffee with friends, and I am a huge people watcher. Not in a creepy way, I am just fascinated with people and human interaction. Favorite Logan Moments? - Logan and Weevil getting detention. For whatever reason his delivery of If I was gonna.. makes me laugh everytime. - The abuse scene in Return of the Kane. Aaron, Lynn, and Logan is done flawlessly and the acting in that scene just blew me away. - The roof top scene in Not Pictured, specifically when he is unable to give Cassidy a reason not to jump. He looks so helpless and I felt for him so much in that moment. Favorite Veronica Moments? - The Pilot scene where she has a picture of Clemmons in her locker. That off the wall humor is what grabbed my attention and got me watching the show. - The morning after the rape is just so heartbreaking and the continuation with Lamb really invested me in wanting to know what happened. - And because Keith and Veronica are all kinds of adorable, the paternity test results in Leave it to Beaver. Favorite LoVe Moments? - The Sway dance in Plan B. Just the hesitation and insecurity on both sides. What they were able to say with just looks is impressive. - The Pieta recreation in Normal is the Watchword and Not Pictured. - The pool house in A Trip to the Dentist. Anyone out there who has any questions/comments about psychology (social psychology is my area of expertise, per se) can always talk to me. Areas Ive done research in are prejudice and something called Terror Management Theory (really complicated but in the simplest terms it looks into how the knowledge of our own death can affect us and how it can even lead to horrible things like genocide, terrorism, holy wars, etc). I hope fingers crossed that I have a lenient advisor to do work in stigma, specifically how it can affect how someone may view themselves in their relationships. I also want to look at aggression with young girls and women, in particular how and why of the differences in male/female friendships and female/female friendships.
