I am thinking of getting both seasons on EBAY, but I've never used it before. So I was wondering, has anyone been in the same situation and bought the DVDs over the internet? If so, where did you get them from and were they good quality? Any help would be great! Thanks!

If you type the terms 'Veronica Mars DVD Season One' and 'Australia' into Google, then several local companies appear near the top of the list. I bought my box sets from DVDAU.com for about AU$70 each. They play on my Sony DVD player, which is a single region player set to the Australian Region. You can currently view all nine episodes of Season 3 on Veoh.com. These new episodes contain spoilers for the previous seasons. I have already created two new VM fanatics by sharing my DVDs with friends. Good Luck!

Although to play an American DVD you need to have a multi regional DVD player because American DVDs are region 1 and we are region 4. I downloaded the torrents of the eps and then made my own discs but I will probably buy them from amazon soon anyway!

I was able to put through an order for DVDs at Amazon. Thanks, Jordle! After being refused a couple of times a while ago I hadn't tried recently. Maybe I was trying to import the wrong types of DVDs! I've used Amazon.com to buy books for years. The only problem involved an order that took 12 weeks, and was water damaged. They then replaced all the books with no hassle at all. Excellent customer service! But as Jordle said, you probably need a multizone player. Some discs are set for zone 1 and zone 4 which may be why VM plays on my Region 4 (Australian) player. DVDAU.com were also hassle free, but are more expensive. Regarding the quality; the sets I bought are not pirate copies. They came with CW pamphlets, and are of wonderful quality.

I also believe that the VM dvds are listed as Region 1 but apparently their actually multiformat meaning we can watch them here in OZ even with a region 4 dvd player. I have purchased things from both Amazon and Ebay from the past and generally all my experiences have been good. If you do buy from Ebay, I would recommend someone who has a high rating. Also never buy from someone who only accepts money orders such as western union. And finally, make sure it's not a pirated copy. Good luck and let me know how you go.

I think I'm going to get that. The person has a good rating, and it's a reasonable price. It says on it that it plays on most dvd players and I have two, so that should be alright. Is that the one you are referring to? I'll probably by from that user. It seems like the best deal at this stage. Does anyone know how much season 2 is going for in the US in say Target?

You will get a warning message saying that the DVDs may not play because of the different regions, but if you have a multi region DVD player they should be fine. All this talk really makes me want the official DVDs not just my crappy home made DVDs!!!
